What is the condenser pressure of ammonia?Typically, ammonia refrigeration systems can run at a discharge pressure of 95-100 psig for the highest efficiency. In this case the most savings results from a pressure of 128 psig. This could be due to a dirty or fouled condensing unit.

Why is ammonia used for cooling?Ammonia has better heat transfer properties than most of chemical refrigerants and therefore allow for the use of equipment with a smaller heat transfer area.
