What is an oil chiller?An oil chiller provides cooling of the oil-based lubricant in various industrial applications - especially in filtration. At HYFRA, customers can find the right continuous flow chillers and immersion (aka “drop-in”) chillers.

How does an oil chiller work?The refrigerant cycles inside the cooling device, through repeated evaporation and condensation processes, delivers heat from low temperature to high temperature. It is a heat exchanger that cools and liquefies refrigerant vapor (high temperature, high pressure, gas) that obtains cycling power from the compressor.


What is chiller oil temperature?In these applications it is ap- propriate to charge the chiller with a higher viscosity oil to help diminish the effects of the extreme conditions. The normal allowable application temperature range is 40°F to 104°F (4.4°C to 40°C).

What is chiller process?A chiller provides consistent temperature and pressure to your industrial process. Eliminating temperature and pressure variables simplifies the process development and optimization, ensuring the highest quality product. Instead of a wasteful, single-pass-through system, a chiller recirculates the cooling water.
